Why Tally and Raiyn are archenemies... lol.

Yes. Manga page. Yes, indeed, I rant about the excess of BAD MANGA/ANIME EVERYWHERE ON DEVIANTART... but eh. Don't knock it til you try it, anime is actually quite difficult to draw well and manga is really quite challenging to lay out. Fortunately I have an eye for layout--but this thing took HOURS to do. Two other pages drawn, page two is a really simple one, fortunately... -_- I dunno if I'll carry on or not, the fact is, I spent five or six hours on this page alone. (asplode)

Fonts used are Webletterer and Trechbut Sans or something like that, the last one came with windows, though. Drawn and inked by hand, touched up and screentoned by OpenCanvas.

Anyway, the point being, I'll try not bash anime quite so much, indeed--I believe it's a rehashed, overdone, overused style--but it still takes talent to draw it well and it's still an art form, kay? I'll make fun of the bad excessive amounts of bad Pokemon styled anime but drawing good manga is difficult. This was HARD. And it's still not "good". So yeah. ^_^

I /like/ anime! I don't see why it's bad to be mainstream once in a while.... (altho I will say there is way too much lousy fan art on her, and unfortunately I'm a contributor.... >.> *resolves to do better*)
Anyway! I think the whole layout works really well. The speach bubbles are a little odd, the fuzzy one's don't need to be quite so fuzzy. You need to work on perspectives a little more with the large center panel and with the cell phone. It sort of looks deformed in a coupel panels....
Other than that, I think it's cool! The phone-throwing chibi is so cute and made me laugh ^^^
