Raiyn and Alen

Did you hear that ding? That was my art leveling up. Today I just realized what it was that I wanted and what it was I was missing, so I did a speedpaint cover for Spire (hour and a half of work) and lo and behold, I had it! And my art leveled up! (Almost entirely a 100% hard round brush in Photoshop set to 70% opacity, no textures, and here's the clicher: no black or white. The only place there's actually black is in his glasses and her eyes, and there is no white at all. I picked that shade of yellow instead of white and a shade of tealish blue instead of black and painted on a teal canvas instead of a white one. And, by jove, it worked! The only place I really had to break away from the set teal and yellowy brown color scheme was her hair, I did have to lay down gray for that originally.)

AND YES, SHE'S IN HER UNDERWEAR. I refrained from drawing her nude. So really, this picture is so different from my typical art... half naked woman, no white... okay, primarily the half naked woman. I don't know either. But it's in character since Raiyn was originally my femme fatale type character.

A cover for Spire, my NaNoWriMo novel and possibly my NaNoMango. Still floundering about with style for that, though I do have pencils done... but I like this style so I might end up going with it for colors later.

Raiyn and Alen. Yeah, Raiyn has white hair in Spire, for story reasons--people following my art for a while will note that ordinarily it's black.

As it was a speedpaint, I didn't use references for the light or anatomy, or perspective, or anything. So it's probably a bit wonky.
