A Rainy Day

This is for the "Iconic Images" Secret Santa exchange, and this is for Mango of Witch and Cat [link] And let me tell you, it took a lot longer than I thought it would. D:< And it LOOKS like a rough picture, but it took forever.

I know this is probably not the most iconic source image (a lot of people went with pop art) but firstly, I wanted something with a style I could comfortably mimic, and secondly, I wanted something that would really capture the magic of Witch and Cat, as when reading it, I had a very strong sense of setting and feeling and I just didn't feel that a pop art picture would really GET that.

Also, the original that this is based off of happens to be one of my favorite paintings. That may have swayed me a little bit. It is Paris: A Rainy Day by Gustave Caillebotte. [link]

I went with a more night color theme to fit the comic's tone, and got lazy when I got to the background figures, so y'know... well...
